Darryl Rudolf

Head Coach
VPSC Program Director
National Groups

Darryl Rudolf brings almost two decades of coaching experience across some of BC's top swim clubs, having previously served as Head Coach at the Pacific Sea Wolves Swim Club and the Campbell River Killer Whales, with additional coaching experience at the Richmond Rapids, Chena North Shore Swim Club, and the UBC Dolphins.

Darryl's connection to the sport runs deep. He grew up swimming through BC's age group programs, competed for five years with the UBC Thunderbirds swim team, and spent seven years on the Canadian National Team. That athlete-to-coach journey shapes how he works with swimmers today — his years in the pool gave him the tools to connect authentically with athletes, along with a firsthand understanding of how the lessons learned through swimming carry over into life beyond it.

Over the course of his coaching career, Darryl has guided swimmers at every level, from Regional meets to International competition. He approaches every athlete with the understanding that no two paths to success look the same, tailoring his coaching to meet swimmers where they are and help them build toward their own goals. During his time at Campbell River and Pacific Sea Wolves, Darryl coached multiple swimmers to Junior National teams, and his contributions to the sport were recognized when he was selected to Swimming Canada's Select Coaches group — a distinction reserved for some of the top coaches in the country.

Darryl is excited to lead VPSC and to continue building on the club's legacy of excellence, bringing his depth of experience, his athlete-first philosophy, and his commitment to developing swimmers both in and out of the pool.
